The Arkansas Symphony Big Band performs at the Hot Springs Village Woodlands Auditorium on Wednesday, September 2nd at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be $15 per person and Guild Members will have first choice when they go on sale later this summer. The ASO is in its 43rd season and the program promises to be replete with nostalgic tunes from the 40’s and presented in arrangements performed as only the ASO’s Big Band can do.
Symphony Soiree II will take place at the Hot Springs Village Coronado Center on Tuesday, October 6th. This is the HS/HSV’s Symphony Guilds' major fund raising event and there will be fine dining, music by the Clyde Pound Trio, silent and live auctions and prizes for tablescapes. Guild members will be given first choice seating arrangements at only $35 per person for this great evening of dining, entertainment and exciting auctions. Call Marlys Moodie at 501-922-3999 for tickets to what will surely be another sell-out event.
Hot Springs Whittington Park will be the setting on Sunday, October 11th, at 3 p.m. for the Guild’s sponsorship of the Hot Springs Concert Band. Bring your lawn chairs and be prepared for a wonderful complimentary concert.
Rounding out the season and back by popular demand will be 50’s quartet, the Diamonds, Thursday, November 19th at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale this fall at $20 per person and Guild members are given first choice seats. Public ticket sales will be announced in the media at a later date. It’s been thirty years since this group released an instant million-selling hit, Little Darlin’ and the song continues to sell and to date has sold approximately 20 million copies. Last time the Diamonds were here it was a sell-out, so watch the media for ticket information.
